This support is carried out in three ways:

  1. The digitization of these producers on the platform is completely free, and thanks to our collaboration with Emprende Camino, technical assistance is also provided to their ventures.
  2. Recommendations on the platform are based on the quality of service and support that establishments provide to pilgrims, as well as to local producers and artists.
  3. A virtuous circle has been created for the exchange of Pilgrim Tokens in recognition of mutual support, incentivizing positive activities for and by the Camino and its communities.

Camino de Europa is a project funded by European Funds within the 2022 Tourism Experiences program of the Ministry of Commerce and Tourism. It has different dimensions provided by the various consortium members, but fundamentally it relates to economic development, cultural promotion, social and gender inclusion, and sustainability on the Camino Francés.

WAYS is an app for Cultural Routes, starting with the Camino Francés as it is the most important, but there are already plans to extend to other routes of the Camino de Santiago (for example, Camino del Norte) and to other cultural routes in Europe and around the world.
